If you found this guy in the wild, it's not like you have alot of options on composition. I enjoy shooting these guys in the wild and it is a challenge for sure. It gives you a certain rush of adrenalin.
I like your shot and if possible would have up a little higher to show more of his body.

Sidewinders aren't the most cooperative when it comes to posing, so I say you did alright.

Snakes tend to make me lose my composition.
I hope you took this with at least a 1200mm lens. Otherwise, it looks like you were pretty close.

Yes, in the wild about 1.5 hours West of Phoenix. Arizona is a reptile rich environment. This is a Sidewinder for any who may be wondering.
Thanks for the reply and advice. I thought the low angle was good at the time but I see what you mean, there is a bit of dimension missing.

I'm cofortable around snakes. This was taken at a distance of 18 to 20 inches.
