I was just wondering. Pro canon body and L sealed lenses.
The consensus is that they take tropical rain without much problems.
What's the most extreme situation your sealed camera has been in and kept on shooting?

That's an interesting question. The day I picked up my 1dsmkII it was snowing heavily. I went right to the aquarium and shot away outdoors for about an hour, continually wiping snowflakes off the body and lens. It was fine.
I did look into getting a raincoat for it though last week at B&H. Kata makes one and so does, I think, Tamrac. They had both on display. Looked too ungainly, though, and even they were only about 40 or 50 bucks, I didn't buy one. I would have needed my wife to show me how to use it.

I got caught in a rain downpour in the Domincan Reupublic with my 1DMKII and the 70-200. The exteriors were pretty wet and they showed no signs of this affecting them whatsoever. I was probably out in this rain for at 20 minutes.
