I loved the way the reflection came out on this shot. Do you think the house to the right is distracing?

It's a lovely scene. I don't mind the second house, but if you do then crop it out. If you do that, the scene could use just a bit of leveling.

Nope, it's not distracting to me, it's part of the landscape.
But if its distracting you, you can crop it, and center the attention to the left house and its reflection, could be fine too.
Nice pic.

By leveling do mean turning the picture counter clock wise?

porschewrx,
I don't find the right house distracting at all. Just for grins, I straightened this one and then did a pano crop. I think it definitely improved the feel of the pic, although it looks good as is. Just a thought!:D

Could I get you to post the altered picture or email it to me so I can see what you did? When you straightened the image what did you use as a point of reference? If you look at the water line at the shore it is straight.
Thanks everyone for the comments.

Here you go. Please keep in mind I am no expert at this, I just went with my gut. I used the pilings (likely level across the top) instead of the water line. Waterlines can be deceiving based on the perspective. What you're looking for (ultimately) is to get the horizon level. Since there's no visible horizon, I went with the pilings. Then I just cropped it and adjusted the sharpness slightly. I hope this helps, and remember, it's what you like about the photo that counts!

AFCop, thanks for taking the time to post what you did and explain it. I like how it looks cropped that way. I was afraid of loosing the sky and the reflection of the sky, but it dosn't seem to lose anything.
