Ok someone is bound to get irritated with me here, but I have read other threads and am aware (I think) of what I need to connect all of this stuff and I have checked it out.
What I want to know is if this is a good [beginner] light setup.
I already have an xti and 430ex
and I was planning on purchasing a 580 ex II
BUT
I realized that I may be able to get a decent setup for the price of the 580.
My thoughts:
Vivitar 285HV
PC to Hotshoe Adapter
Swivel Bracket
Light Stand
Cybersync transmitter and 2 battery powered receivers
48" shoot thru umbrella
All of this seems to cost about $450 whereas the 580 can be bought for $420 of B&H
