This was the oldest surviving grist mill in Simsbury, it was restored and made into a restuarant. (now closed) hope someone can take it over.

Well, the building appears to be in good shape, so maybe it will be re-opened by some enterprising young person. Good shots, Sandy.

Go for it Sandy...might be a good investment and then you can afford all those Luxury lenses you've been longing for. Nice pictures, by the way.

Thanks for the comments. Nope not the business for me. this was the second or third owner, so something isn't working. I can't figure out what. It's a beautiful site.

Sandy, great shots of what looks like a really good location. However, maybe they're just too far "out of the way" to draw enough business to stay in the black! Although, there are many restaurants back home (Maine) that are waaaay off the beaten path but still seem to stay in business. Who knows? Anyhow, cool shots!

Nice looking place. Too bad nobody can apparently make it work.

Nice shots, Sandy. We've been there a couple of times - great place for wedding receptions. I read the story about the closing a couple of months ago. Seems like the owner had a few problems. :(

Thanks all for the comments. I grew up not far from there and remembered as a kid playing in it, way before any restoration was done.

I guess it takes a lot of money and the food business needs a lot more upkeep everywhichway

Nice shots Sandy. Years ago, when visiting my brother in Avon, we ate at a restaurant in Simsbury and I "think" that may have been the place.

Thanks Marie for the comments, As Jim said the owner has found himself in a little bit of trouble, so it was his doing that the restuarant closed and not really the lack of business.

Mark that could very well be the place, I think it opened in the 1980's sometime, not 100% sure.

Sandy that sure looks like a great palce for a beer and sandwich.

Always sad to hear when enterprising people don't quite make it. I guess if he had problems that explains it.

Thanks all for the comments.
Sheldon you're forgiven for almost missing this one. Seems like things are happening so fast on the forum, I feel like I'm missing a bunch myself. Maybe I should go over to a Nikon forum, they probably don't have near as much traffic     (JUST KIDDING)
