alright I just got my bag from a friend of mine who bought it overseas. I barely noticed that the zippers (2 of them) are missing the rope thing. It's missing one on each compartment. The main, and the front extra pocket. So out of 5 zippers (2 on main, 2 on front pocket and 1 on laptop pocket) only 3 of them has the little rope handle with the lowepro logo.

So it's like each line has 2 zippers but only one has the rope thing.

Did i get jipped or is this really how these bags were made?

:(

Sorry, this is my first full-size back pack

so the zippers are just missing the rope attachments on the ends? couldn't they just be missing? also, what's "urgent" about this?

Thanks for your reply. maybe it's missing, maybe it didnt come with it. I put urgent because I just noticed it. I am a bit surprised specially the bag being brandnew and all. Did that bother you? My apologies.

Bottom line If it was sold with missing parts, that's not nice at all. I can hardly believe how one can be dishonest incase the salesperson knew about it. To me it's like buying a brandnew lens internationally only to find out it does not have a warranty card inside the box.

Cartoon,

I'd be bloody annoyed if it happened to me.

My experiences with LowePro kit has not been wonderful. My Vertex 200 AW had to be exchanged by the shop when it started falling apart on day one. LowePro themselves were no help at all, in fact just the opposite, they were positively obstructive.

My advise would be to phone LowePro and explain the situation. Stay friendly, don't let them annoy you but be firm that you want some replacements. If that does not do the trick, do the same thing in a letter.

The cords seem easy enough to fit and how much would it really cost LowePro? Keeping your goodwill must be worth the cost of the 3 pull cords (and a couple of spares).

If none of that works, just tie some cord on yourself and spread your hatred of all things LowePro as far and as wide as you can.

they're all supposed to have the little ropes...

I'm not a fan of lowepro, ThinkTank FTW!! :p

But, I would imagine that it should have those, every bag I have with zips have the thingys to grip...
