How do you all orient your nature shots, if you had to put a ballpark on it?
I'd say at least 80% of my nature shots are portrait or square (which would be neutral I suppose) oriented. I put a new portfolio together with 16 images (9 landscapes and 7 macros) and only 1 is landscape oriented! This worries me as a landscape photographer..

I shoot the majority of my shots in horizontal orientation, except when I am taking panoramic shots or am trying to frame a shot in a specific way for which vertical orientation works better. Horizontal 85%, Vertical 15% if I had to guess.
I wouldn't worry too much about it though. It really depends what you are taking a picture of, what you are trying to convey/focus on in the shot, and if people like the pictures. More than anything, if you like the picture, no worries. If they are good pictures, who cares what orientation they are in?
Hope this helps. Good luck.

I was posting this more as a open forum, just to see what people are doing. I have no worries about it.

I nearly always shoot landscape, for landscape pictures, and of still life and people. I'd say 90/10

Landscapes..........I would say 90% of the time I'm looking for a horizontal view.
Unless it's a tight shot, portrait usually gives too much sky or foreground.

Landscape 75-80%, the rest in portrait (duh) it all depends on the "look" I'm looking for.
