I am looking for a backpack bag that offers me quick access andthat I do not need to put down to remove the camera. The bag I seem to leaning towards is the Kata 3N1-30 and my second choice is the LowePro Fastpack 350.

My Kit:
1. Canon 40D + BG2EN + 17-55/2.8 IS attached (stored with hood reversed)

2. 70-200/2.8 IS lens (stored with hood reversed)

3. 28/1.8 and 85/1.8 lens

4. 420EX flash to be upgraded to a 580EX flash when the 420EX dies (it's been given me some trouble lately)

5. 77mm polariser, 2 BP and 8 AA batteries, cleaning cloth, blower, and memory cards with PCMCIA reader.

6. small manfrotto 55MF4 tripod

When I travel I would like to put my 12" laptop (IBM X61), Canon HF10 video and 870IS P&S cameras a jacket and some water and food in the same bag.

What I shoot:
Family birthdays
School Sports
School plays
Holidays and
Night Safaris (with the primes)

I often need to switch between my 2 zoom lenses (so much so that I have considered getting a second 40D body or 18-250) so I need a bag that will allow me to do this quickly.

The Kata DR-467 is also quite nice. It does require that you put it down to unload but it makes up for that with the laptop compartment and incredibly roomy top compartment

The Fastpack will hold all that and more. BUT it doesn't have a built-in tripod holder.
