Anxious to get on the road again, I've been looking back at last year's photos. These are from Grand Teton NP in Wyoming. The first is Jackson Lake at sunrise. The lake's level was quite low due to persistent drought in that area. Those sand bars normally would not be visible. As I understand it, the farmers downstream have the rights to the top 25 ft of the lake, so they can draw it down for irrigation. The second shot is the Chapel of the Transfiguration, a noted viewpoint for photographers.

Beautiful Shots. At first I thought the sandbars hurt the image and reflection. On second thought, the sandbars make the image more interesting.

Thanks for your comments. It's hard to take a bad one in GTNP, certainly one of the loveliest places on earth.

I was there, June 2004 and it is an awesome place. I didn't have a still camera then, only a digital camcorder. "GRAND" is a good description of that area.
Nice pics. My plans this year include a trip to Rocky Mt. Natl. Park. Can hardly wait!!!
