Hey guys, please critique my rose picture as well as the editing I did. I took this at 1/4000, F4, ISO100.

Here is the original, no PP, just converted to jpeg.

the vignetting in the edit seems a little heavy to me.

I actually like the "vignetting" to it the heavier shadows in the far corners really bring out the best in the picture (the rose) in contrast to the snow. Also, in the original, the dark shadows on the rose, coincide with the dark vignetting. Well done with to PP

Thank you for the feedback! Sorry, I'm not quite sure about the term "vignetting". I thought that was when all four corners of a picture are darkened because of lens geometry or something like that :o

Very nice! I like the background in the first one best, and the rose in the 2nd one.

the shadow in the second one doesn't seem natural to me, I mean if the rose has its own shadow and then there is a second over all shadow? It just doesn't seem to click yet.

I agree with Fury, if you switched the rose in the first one with the rose in the second it would really pop more.

Haha thanks, I was actually thinking about that too after I did the revision.

Oh man, I considered that too, but then I thought to myself....well I could just say there were two light sources :p?
