Meh, my seats were awesome for watching the game, but not so great for photographing it. I need to get closer and get a 300 2.8 and a press pass. Anyways, These are all heavy crops out of an XTi so I guess we know they will be noisy. I only shot the first period... then decided I would just enjoy the game... Which turned out to be f-ing terrible.

But anyways, here are the shots:

How did you get your gear into the rink? Columbus doesnt allow it. I think 300mm is too much because here our press shoots ice level through the glass, 70-200mm is perfect.

At ice level 70-200 is perfect, but from the club level... or the photog booth... not so much. But if I could get a pass and shoot from the corners...

Anyways, the Xcel lets you take anything in as long as you aren't being disruptive to the other spectators.

You're lucky.
