That's good to hear ;) I'm a rookie to all of this technology. I'll take any advise seriously, and the humor with a grain of salt ;)

If you tell these folks what kind of gear you have and what you used for specific pictures they are a wealth of knoowledge to help you improve.
Nice pics, btw. Congrats on the little one.

Oh man, uh, not too sure on the settings:o. I had the camera for about 20 mins when I took these:o
I am shooting a Rebel XSi with the kit lenses 18-55 IS and 55-250 IS. I got this camera the 15th of Jan. It's amazing what a good (to me) camera will do. I have taken around 800 shots since getting this camera. Well, ok, my wife has taken around 500 of them. Although they are the same picture over and over, just different....light, outfit, location in the house...but same looks on Hunters face, so they get deleted. Not being mean, just they aren't turning out very well. Most of the shots I have taken are of Ducks and Geese in flight.
Thanks 4bucks! He is our second child. Our daughter is just over 2. I hope to get pics of her on here too. She is just too impatient to sit still long enough, or be in a good position long enough. I'll get her though:p
Sorry for the book;)

I have the same equipment. The first advise I got on here was to get flash. I bought my 430EX from Amazon.com for about $230. It is money well spent. I too am new at this and it is amazing the difference being able to bounce the flash vs. straight on flash. It is great for the kind of shots you are taking. I am even able to take pictures of my son's bball indoors by bouncing the flash off the 30' ceiling. This helps by lighting the whole area of the shot and not shooting directly into the players eyes as they come at you. So... with all that, get a flash. You will love it.

cute pics! I'm going to have a new baby to take pictures of soon too!
OT, but 4Bucks, I love your sig line by R. Buckley. I have people saying to me "you spent WHAT on a camera? why? I can take a picture with my little hp point and shoot." Ugh.
