just over 5 weeks ago, the reigning British Superbike champion John Reynolds broke his leg, [tib 4 places and fib one place] ... and there he was today at Brands Hatch for the opening round of the new season... I'm astonished.

Those riders have to be tough (and probably a little crazy).

Lovely shots! Altho I'd chop a lil bit off the right on 1#, looks a bit squished on the left.

thanks again for the kind comments :)
Pete... cheers... i wondered what to do about his shadow really... would i just be best to crop it and not worry about it?
It's race day at last... but i think the camera will be in the bag for most of it as i want to watch the racing... and here'e one of the boys i want to beat the Suzi's ... Dean Thomas, who's come in to replace Scott Smart [wheelie pic] that Suzuki nicked from us greenies ;-)
Oh, and _one_ other pic, showing why green _is_ fastest ;-)

Ouch, that looks like it was sore... I've odne my stint in hospital (3 months) back when i was 19, and I think it's the thought of that int he back of my mind lets me rationalise getting on a bike again... i know i'll never street race again.
BTW is that Anickel titanium stent in your spine? Jsut curious as i spent 5 years working with the stuff, but yet to meet anyone with the material in their body... Funny how Nickel is considered a carcinogen, yet in it's alloy form of Ni-Ti it's harmless... it's most common use is in dental braces... but i diverge.
Skip... i've popped up a gallery of the pics from the weekend... I've got all the BSB riders covered, but will be modd'ing it as time permits.

Great shots!
Those riders have to be tough (and probably a little crazy). I promised myself that I'd get on one when they could do a 4-wheel drift! :D

Great shots Mike, the last one with the rider with his leg in the air is a great catch.
Now if we are comparing spinal metalwork:lol: I can join that club with 2 plates and half a dozen self tappers;)
Cheers
Ian
