I decided to get out and take a few shots of the moon tonight since I have a friends Canon 2x TC that I have to list here for sale (that's another topic though..).
Anyway, I used a Sigma 120-300 with the Canon 2x attached to the lens and a Sigma 2x TC attached to the body (and obviously they were attached to one another :D). I realize that I need a better tripod and head to do work like this.

Thanks for looking,

Your exif info say you were at 600mm for this shot, but I thought it would be more than that with stacked 2TC's. Sigma at 300mm x2 TC X 2TC =1200mm?
At any rate I think the shot is really quite good especially with two TC factored in.:)

Thank you. And yes the exif does show 600mm for some reason one of the TC wasn't reporting to the camera. Maybe if I switch the order of them and put the canon on the body and the sigma on the lens.....
Thanks,

Really good shot of the moon, I've never been able to get a decent one with my limited equipment.

I decided to try a little more PP on my attempt at the moon. I stacked 4 shots together at various opacities and came up with this.
Let me know what you all think. This was my first attempt at stacking images so any advice is appreciated. I just used the built in script in CS3. I don't even know if that is the correct way to do it or not...LOL.
