Dude seriously - You need to say how you did that .. lmao .. I like it.

I would of have thought you'll see motion at least going from one place to the other ..

Not with such a long exposure time (>100s) and staying perfectly still for at least 20 seconds or so in every stance, long enough to make a lasting imprint in the sensor I guess...

OP, tell us the technique! Pretty cool idea...

I guess the room will have to be in almost complete darkness right??

I never have done anything with bulb!

okay this is the scenario... first off you would like to have a remote shutter button... I forgot mine so I was holding ont he shutter button for a long time and the camera on top of the desk... no tripod either...

BTW... I can has the back button focus "on" or "AF-ON" for 40D and disabled the shutter focus function - this is done so that when you press the shutter button it will not refocus and hunt in complete darkness

first I had my friend sit on the chair with the lights on and focused... once i got focus I switched the lights off and told him to completely be still for 90 secs while I press on the shutter (I tried shorter 30 seconds but it would not get a good imprint on the sensor cause of the complete darkness) and after a minute of being still I told him to switch place and stand behind the chair ( he wanted to kill himself) so he had a knife on his hand - had him be still for 30 seconds and after 129 seconds

I have a longer shutter duration while he was sitting so that I would get a better image of him and make a silhouette effect of himself killing his own self

hope you enjoyed the image and I showed the image to my friends and told them that we were taking a picture and the camera when to ERR99 which was happening for a while now and this image showed and they freaked out... alter I told them the truth!!!

Happy Shooting!!!
