Ok after looking in on this forum for some time now, i finally got inspired to get a picture of the moon.

I only have a 350D, and the largest lens is my 70-300mm. I would be lying if i said these were my first moon pics, because i've taken about 50. These are the first i've been happy with though.

Think i finally settled on ISO400, f9, shutter speed 500. Please C + C as i would like to get better. The PP done is adjustment on brightness/contrast, and slight curve added ............

I would love to know how people get all the colours out of the moon

(edit)...... the first one was shot at ISO100, f7.1, shutter 1/640 ......... the second shot at ISO400, f9, shutter 1/500 both handheld

Thanks for looking

Nice shots, I especially like the first...far better than I've ever managed with a lens.

They came out very nicely. The sharpness and detail are great. You could punch up the contrast just a tad, maybe by adjusting the curves. Try input of 65 and output of 45 for the dark end and input 190 and output 205 on the bright end. It really makes the details stand out.
