I took this on my way through the pass this morning. At the top there are big pines that are covered right over, perhaps you can spot one or two in this shot as well. Beautiful morning, a but brisk . . . but nothing like we have had. Only used one coat today . . . so spring is here. Except up there.

Brrrrr...... it is a beautiful shot however. Have you reminded Mother Nature that spring is here and only 3 months long??

Nice shot RJ! Once again, we are reminded that mother nature has her own agenda, regardless of what our calendars say!

Beautiful shot, R.J. Hate to rub it in, but....... things are really swingin' into spring here in Arkansas. Lots of early flowering trees and the flowers won't be far behind. The redbuds are starting to bloom, the dogwoods should be in full bloom in a couple of weeks; so its shaping up to be a beautiful spring....IF "Old Man Frost" doesn't pay us a late visit, and he's been known to do it!! My Black Walnut trees have not leafed yet, so I'm still a little concerned. When they leaf out, I feel pretty certain we are "out of the woods"; so to speak.

This is a view of one side of the peak that forums Rattle Snake Canyon. The sky color only lasted a few minutes after I arrived there. You can see it start to 'bleach' out as the series of photographs progresses. It is cold up here and up there . . . it goes with out saying.
Yes I do think you guys are rubbing it in, but that is ok, lol. Hope you guys enjoy your easter.

Sorry 'bout that RJ.... didn't mean to be rubbing it in. That 2nd shot is gorgeous, love the deep blue sky and white mts., it makes for a very eye pleasing contrast.
Hoppy Easter to you too.

A lot of this snow will still be here until the later part of July . . . some years it stays over, but not often not like up in the GTNP where they grow the 'real' thing. The spring with its green grass and trees with leaves on them, make a striking contrast, perhaps a good photograph.
Thanks to one and all . . .
