Marietas

Here's a shot from my trip to Puerto Vallarta. Took a boat tour out to the Marietas Islands. Was there during mid day. Obviously, not the usual ideal lighting conditions . . . but, the position of the sun made the water such a beautiful color, I started to think that it might actually be a pretty good time of day to shoot scenes like this one.

Was a good enough time to shoot IMO :) Very nice. The blue skies on my monitor appear to be pretty dark (polarizer?) but it works. Water does look great. Nice comp.

yes, I did shoot this with a cir polarizer. I kinda wish I had done a before and after shot (with and without the polarizer) because the effect on the sky and water was rather dramatic in this location.

Nice shot, it really is a wonderful place to take photos. I have the blessing of being able to go there once a year.
