Remarkably sharp for being wide open at f5.6 and 250mm. I am positive the lowly 75-300 lens at 250mm and f5.6 would yield a mushy looking flower!

The composition is too centered, but I still like it.

The insect saved your bacon. Without it, it's just another flower picture.
