They dont. Not even the store manager will know since it all depends on how well each store does. If they do better for example sell most of their stuff their store will close faster. If they dont sell their stuff fast they keep their jobs a little longer.

Just grab a G10 today after swinging by 3 CC stores. Picked it up for $330 and change, not $300 but still a pretty good deal.

yea i lost my job at the beginning of the recession and still have not been able to find work... It is horrible every where i go its they are not hirring or they just hired people. I have been getting by by selling all the stuff i own that is useless to me know, and taking portraits for friends and what not.

I do computer support for Circuit City Corporate and all the stores (for a little bit longer anyway)...and yes most are very unhappy. Imagine having to speak to them when their computers aren't working! :mad:

No sir. There will always be stores. There's too many people who prefer comparing products and prices with the different products in person. Not to mention the store warranties and store support centers.

Up to a point, that's true. But big box stores depend on credit and there is no credit to be had, so many stores and chains are in real trouble.

I was so close to pulling the trigger on one at my local CC today for $349. They had one left plus the display unit and the guy was unlocking the case to get it for me but I thought about how much I actually NEEDED it and stopped him. With our local sales tax, it would've been $380.

The employees at this store seemed to have a decent attitude. I wished the young lady at checkout good luck.

I went to the San Francisco Circuit City today. Camera department is pretty much cleaned out of anything interesting. The only Canon lenses they had left was qty 2 of the 55-200, which I have zero interest in.

for some weird reason I think all the Source stores (CC's Canadian franchise) are staying alive...

they arent closing til everything is sold but this means eventually all photo stuff will be 50% off which is good for the photography community for example a 40d with kit usm lens at $1079.99 now a little under $900 i might pick one up =D
