South Downs Stages Rally @ Goodwood, 7th February 2009

Woooo been a while. Ventured down to Goodwood Circuit and froze my fingers off for the "South Downs Stages Rally". The line up of cars wasn't as good as previous years but still the event is FREE and it gives me a chance to take a few photos of cars - which I quite like doing every now and then :p

Yep was pretty cold. No snow though. Good light during the few hours I was there. I even turned the camera on it's side for a change, not something I do that much. Felt a bit rusty, had to remember how to use the camera lol *ok not quite that bad* but still it took a few shots to get going.

Anyway i'll get on with some pics, all shot with a 40D and 100-400...

As usual comments are most welcome. Yep there's now a border thing going on. Couple of the shots are probably a bit too tight, particularly #2 and #7. Oops. Hows the colours, exposure, my new monitor reset itself the other day so not sure how "right" it is.

Hi Azza,
Colours look natural and correct to me.
5 and 6 are my pick,and there are some very tidy cars in this lot,that first one must be some weird kit car masquarading as a hybrid mini GT40 .:confused:
Sorry you couldn't get to the snowy Dean,was a cracking day,but at least you got the shutter working again.

Hi,

A good set! You ventured further than I did!!

The car in 1 is a FT Bonito Special - you'll wish you hadn't asked!

Cribbing from the program! Body produced by a German Company, Fiberfab and is designed along the lines of a GT40. Bolted onto a VW beetle floor pan using suspension, brakes and gear box from the beetle. Mated to a 1.6 Ford crossflow on twin 40's.

try "fiberfab bonito" in google!
