Daytona Feb 7th - NASCAR Bud Shootout under the lights...

Down from Ohio in Jacksonville for work over the weekend. Was able to sneak over to the speedway for some shooting. Scalped a $50 ticket for $20, and scammed my way into the infield in the back of a partying truck bed full of fine folks. Ended up on top of an RV up against turn 1 on the infield.

Fun day of shooting, all with the 70-200 f4 non-IS / some with the Canon 1.4x TC. Wish I had packed my shiny new 300mm f4 IS!

Oh and by the way this was with the much maligned XS - not the 50D. And kinda bump too. God I wish I had ... had the 300 F4L and the 50D instead of my traveling light kit of XS + 70-200 F4 + 1.4TC
