With a clear sky and a bright full moon I decided to break the telescope back out and try image stacking. This was the result of 11 images. That was the most good shots I could get before the moon started to move out of frame.

Slight crop, Rebel XS on a Bushnell 900mm scope, sharpening, brightness and contrast adjustments done in DPP after stacking using registax.

I didn't either until someone suggested it, so I started googling to see what it did. It basically uses a series of images to average out the "good" pixels in an image and remove a lot of the noise while improving image quality.

Do you have to use a specific program?!

I did some searching and found a free program called registax that makes it a pretty simple process. I think it can be done in programs like photoshop with either a plugin or some manual work.
