How would u compare these two lenses

the 50mm f1.8 II and the 85mm f1.8.

I'm waiting for my 50mm to come in the mail, but what about the 85mm?

I'd look here (http://www.photographyreview.com/Lenses/PSC_3787crx.aspx), and http://fredmiranda.com , and I think pbase or a similar site might let you search by lens the photo was taken with. The $340 vs $70 price tag might also give you a clue, but what it tells you is up to your interpretation ;) USM is really handy to have. The 85mm has 8 blades, the 50mm has 5 blades, which usually makes for better bokeh.

I think those two lenses are main nominees for "The Best Price/Performance Ratio Canon Lens" award. The former because of it's price, and the latter because of it's performance.
