Hey Guys,
I bought my first SLR today it's a 1000D and i'm super stoked.
I got home and I tried mums old flash from her film slr on it and it worked fine and that was awesome and I was taking loads of photos with it...
It's a Sunpak auto 124
I found out afterwards that old flashes have a high voltage that could fry my new Camera :'(
It seems to be working fine now without the flash on it... like the Camera is working as is but I can't test the hot shoe...
Does it fry it instantly... like is it definite or am I lucky and I will be fine if I don't use the flash again?
Please any help would be greatly appreciated as I am completely freaking out...
