Please criticise this photo. I'm new to photography recently changed from a Fuji 4700 to a canon 20D. I've never used film. Am I on the right track? How could this pic have been taken better?
Thanks

I think it looks pretty cool. I love the moon trying to burst thru the clouds.

I'd maybe crop a bit off the bottom. The reflection of the moon bothers me, but that's only my opinion. There seem to be a lot of people here who would know a lot more than me - hopefully they'll stop by and help. :)

It looks like it could be a very interesting shot but is just too small to tell. I would suggest cropping some of the water out and making it a pano.

I like it as is, except it should be larger. You can post larger, but reduce the quality setting to stay within the 100k limit. I usually resize to 800 pixels wide, then Save For Web at whatever quality will meet the 100k.

Apologies to jgbeam & Dre. I am changing and replacing the image to suggestions.
Their comments are good according to sparker1.
I am about to try to place a larger image.

hi blu,

nice photo. i think you overexposed it though. open yout photo editing prog. and play with the levels. try to make it look natural. right now it looks like the water's kinda muddy. its nighttime so you have to simulate a bit of darkness.
good effort.

I really like it, the moon coming through the clouds is very nice. The reflections are also nice.
