Greetings, I would more than happy to pay someone to help me understand my g3 better. Online or over the phone would be great. aperture, shutter speed, white balance and all the other talk I cant seem to get. I have looked at the manual many times but I dont seem to be able to comprehend it.

Save your money.
Spend some time with the following website, especially Ch. 3 on camera controls:

Shoot in P or Auto until you are comfortable enough to experiment with the other settings. All it takes is time and lots of shooting.
Best of luck. :)

Hi,
I felt the same way you did a month ago. What I have found since is, you first need to trust yourself, take some risks and just take some pictures. There are some wonderful sites out there and one of the best I have come across is photo course see link below, they also have a book, Canon G3, that seems to be great too.
All of the tutorial sites can be helpful but there is nothing that will teach you more than actually doing it. If you take pictures while you read, you may find that the controls and setting are easier to understand.
Get out there, take pictures, experiment and enjoy.

Good Luck
