I'm in two minds over this picture, it looks better printed with a black border though:

EOS 5D2, 24-105L @ 58mm, f/4, 1/6s, ISO 6400. Click picture for larger version.

The garden was very dark -- only lit by the orange-glow of street-lights reflecting off the snow clouds. Apart from fixing the white-balance in DPP, the only PP is Noise Ninja followed by two "curves" adjustment layers, one to reduce the contrast, the other to add the blue-green cast to the picture.

Meh or yay?

I like it! I keep thinking there's an invisible tea party happening down there ;)

Here's a scaled-down version of the photo as printed (well, actually the border is a bit thicker in the final image -- about twice as thick as this JPG), I think the black border adds a slightly spooky feel to the picture, wouldn't be out of place as a cover for a book of Victorian ghost stories... :D

What do you think?

I like it better with the frame. Almost feels like you're looking out a window. You're right - it's spooky, but good!

He he! I took it hanging out of a 2nd floor (3rd in USA) window. :)
