I am looking for advice and feedback - has anybody had problems with the focus on the EOS 1DsMkII??

I have used the 1Ds for 2 years without a glitch and obtained a 1DsMkII at Christmas. I took it to China on assignment from 8-16 January and the pics up to 15 January are fantastic and sharper than the 1Ds - suddenly there was a change with a "soft spot" in the centre and left of the image. The disaster is that it is only subtle and cannot be picked up without printing out the pictures on my Epson photo2100 at A3 size, or reviewing them massively blown up on the computer (as I was doing as part of planning an exhibition). I have now done some tests using 70-200 f2.8L, 50 f1.4 and 28-70 f2.8L - the EOS 1Ds is pin sharp but the EOS 1Ds MkII is slightly blurred to the centre and left of the image - could CMOS sensor have been knocked by a minor bump? Has anybody else noticed this problem and if so has anybody got advice what to do about it??

The disaster is that I was in China again for 2 weeks from 22January to 6 February and most of the pictures are un-publishable because of this fault.

Did something (a minor bump) happen between the sharp shots and the problem? Have you checked to see if the sensor is dirty? Like a large spot. I would have it sent in to Canon to have it checked out.

could CMOS sensor have been knocked by a minor bump? .

I don't think this will occur, because it is tied down by screws. If that happens on all your lenses then send the camera in with the print out. It may need adjustment only.
