Ive been trying to figure out how i can take pictures of people when they are standing in front of a window when there is light coming through? My pictures allways come out over exposed enough for the picture to be deleted:(

Im new to lightroom so im still learning but i just cant get the exposure right?

Do i need some kind of filter?

Edit: Maybe im getting there i was using AV,I now changed to M and its come out alot better:)

I little was exsposed when i clicked on the preview on the camera.

Set your aperture, shutter speed, and ISO so that the window is properly exposed. Then use the flash to properly expose the subject.

Thanks for your advice i think what the problem might of been is using it in AV mode,And i wasn't use the flash because i thoght that would of messed the picture all up.

Personally I underexpose the ambient 1 1/3 to 2 stops, on the camera meter, then allow fill flash with maybe -2/3 FEC, when bounced, less FEC when using the OmniBounce. I seem to get decent results, but I'm still learning.
