INFO BREAK :)

Three new forums

Canon EF and EF-S lenses
Canon EOS accessories
Lighting

will be opened soon. Moderators will MOVE latest posts from here to them without leaving a link, so if your post is gone from EOS camera forum then check your "Subscribed Threads" in user CP, or just visit the new forums.

The post move will happen during several hours' time frame (holiday time slows things down).

The three new forums are created for several reasons:

- forum growth: this way EOS Camera forum keeps messages on p.1 longer - this is not a daily problem but is sometimes and will be more in the future.
- stickies are spread better between forums and do not take as much space on EOS Camera forum.
- searching specific topics will be easier.
- those three are major areas of photography discussion which must be separated sooner or later from EOS Camera forum.

Take care,

Pekka

Yes, there's enough traffic to split off the lenses.

I was ready to ask for a C vs. N forum, but perhaps that isn't a good idea. :D

I don't like it much, it means I have to open 3 tabs whereas one used to do. I don't hate it, but I liked the old way better, though I do see the reasons for doing it.

Although I can understand the reason, I'm not crazy about the lens info being moved to a different forum, ether. I suspect Lighting won't get that much traffic seperated off since it's been shown on almost all forums that a crowd does draw a crowd. Oh well, change happens.

Good show - thanks for all the hard work.

It will take a little getting used to, but keeping the current posts on page 1 seems to be the right thing.

Thanks again to Pekka and the Mods for looking after the best photo forum on the Web.

Have Fun,

Tim, depending on how often You visit You can just use the "new posts" link which lists all new posts in one list (of several pages). But it can be a long list with many pages, I almost fear how many pages it will be when I return from my 3 week holiday in Florida (I probably won't have time to logon  in those 3 weeks )
