I'm confused.:confused: I'm reading that HDR is several exposures... so can somebody explain it to me in laymans terms?

Look up AEB in your camera manual. Take one -2 and +2 in the camera and use photomatrix or another app to combine them. Just google HDR some pretty good guides out there.

You take the same picture, multiple times with different exposures. This usually involves putting the camera on a tripod. You'll take one shot at the "right" exposure, and a couple over exposed, along with a couple underexposed shots. It's up to the photographer. Then you use a program like Photomatix, Dynamic HDR, or even plain old Photoshop to merge the photos in to one photo, giving you the High Dynamic Range image.

I surely wouldn't attempt HDR without knowing what it is.
