Actually I like them all, even the un-realistic.

Thanks! I wish my Canon would let you do a greater shift, than just +-2EV. Some are 5 stops difference, which takes a lot more time, you have to use a tripod, more prone to movements, ...Cant you set your camera to Manual, obtain the correct exposure for your first shot, then manually stop the camera up and down however many stops as you want +/-, rather than being restrained by the cameras bracket limit of 2+-?

That's how I have to do the higher dynamic range ones. But, if Canon offered more bracketing options like, uh, um, another brand, it could be as simple as the 3 shot brackets that we do now. Hold steady, set to rapid fire, hold shutter down, click, click, click, click, click or more, in less than a second. I think the other brand will do up to 7, +-2EV. You could even hand hold them for that. With the manual way, you'd have to have a tripod. This is still OK, but it would be a welcomed option.

Yep, I agree. My Canon Powershot G5 will do three shot brackets pretty well, although a little slow. So I step up to the 40D and how many bracketed shots will it take? Three. I love the camera but being limited to three shot brackets is a bit of a disappointment.
