#3 i think has the best balance of light and speed, overall the photos are pretty good

#1 looks like the flash was off camera from the left

#6 i assume was all ambient, and looks like it was saved at a lower quality then the rest

i don't think you'd get much better framing etc. other then maybe a tighter crop on #1 and #4
was it very busy on sunday? i heard there wasn't that many people there.

All i have to work with is a 40D and 70-200 F2.8, you think there's any chance of me getting any shots with it with strictly ambient light?

I just picked up a CyberSync Trigger Transmitter and CyberSync Battery Powered Tri.
With a 580 EX which I had to add a sync port.
Lots more to learn.

Nice shots... I like the off camera work.. that trigger looks like it is working pretty well.....
