Excellent light! Sometimes having gray clouds helps, too!

Ramrod,
Great pics. What setup were using to take these shots? Also would be interested in the settings on the camera.
Thanks.

great pics...the sunset light makes them really unique and beautiful
Flying: wow...how old is that Dash 8??? I fly on Dash 8s pretty much weekly, and they don't look like that haha

My bad...
I should have considered the location of the photog. It's a Fokker 50 and not a Dash 8.
They're similar in appearance but the Fokker has the bird beak nose while the Dash 8 slopes straight down the windscreen to the nose.

OMG...I can not believe I out-nerded you for once ;) j/k...I didn't want to say "that's not a Dash8" at first, 'cuz I figured I'd just end up looking like a fool haha...yeah, the Dash 8 just looks more modern to me...but they're annoying as hell haha

Thanks very much for the comments everyone:), Pic's were taken with a 1D111 with a 100-400 lens. The settings for the Fokker shot were 1/100 @ f5.6 and ISO 320.

Thanks all for the comments.:)
Ben, the first few were taken from Myrtle avenue and the last one was taken from a field at the end of runway 09L. Have a look around on the net, you should be able to find a few handy sites with some info.
