This was a picture I passed by the first time through as her hands were in her mouth. I think now I've decided I like it better than my initial choice. Please feel free to critique and give suggestions. Thanks.

Gorgeous! I think the hand in the mouth makes the shot. The eyes are stunning. Very nice b/w. Thanks for sharing.

I think it's a stunning shot. I'd be interested to see the one you chose over this one!

Beautiful baby. Beautiful light. Share some of the techniques you used to capture these pictures so sharply. Was this with an 85 1.8 in window light?

Thanks for the nice words everyone!
These were taken with a white down comforter and two alienbee 400's. I had one light camera left and the other almost right about camera level. (I cloned out the extra light in the first picture and should have done so in the second.) The main bee was metered at F11, and the fill at 8. The camera was set on F11.
For post processing I ran a softening action and then erased the softness in the eyes. For the color picture I decreased the saturation a bit to soften her color.
The lens was a Canon 28-70. I was taught to use the cameras sync speed to set the shutter speed when using flash. In my cameras case this is 1/200. This fast SS gives a better chance of capturing sharpness.
I think that's about it!
