Do any of you have any recommendations on this subject?
I would like it to have templates available to me for invoice, consent to name a few.
I searched but I did not find something specific (probably missed it, guess we will see).
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know about consent forms, but we recently evaluated MYOB and QuickBooks for Mac and ended up with the QuickBooks.
It does do invoicing, etc.

Can I ask what MYOB is?

I been using QB Mac for the last 2 years, but have been using QB for about 10 years, you can customize invoices, along with FotoQuote you can create estimates for clients. And I can just export to a disk for my CPA.
MYOB is another program like QB

Mind Your Own Business!
No, I'm not being a jerk, that is the name of the company. They have a couple products that are similar to QuickBooks.

For photography specific forms, there's a CD full of them provided with the "Business and Legal Forms for Photographers" book that ASMP co-publishes. Good starting point, I think they are MS Word docs. Googling online you can find a lot of samples, too.

Quicken Business if your not running through a business entity.
If you are an LLC, S-Corp, etc... then Quickbooks for sure.

I've been using Inview by Hindsight - http://www.hindsightltd.com/index.html - for over fifteen years. It is written for an ASMP style photographer - publication/commercial/architectural/corporate rather than a wedding/portrait person. Great software with excellent support. I recommend it highly.

microsoft office has a lot of free downloads and templates for invoices.
I use microsoft office's package, it's got excel and word and power point and all of that in it.
lightroom 2...eh what else...about it really there's not really much I do, I have a bookkeeper to take care of financial organization.
They're cheap and they're worth it to hire one every now and again to clean up your books.
If you can, learn about how to do it through some courses and you'll save yourself that expense.
I also have a developmental officer that points me in the direction and answers any questions I have about taxes, breaks, upcoming events, networking, meetings, oppurtunities and contracts. They're also really great to have, and depending on your area they might be free. Look into that.

For photography related forms you can buy the book Legal forms for photographers. I think that’s what it's called.

I've been considering fotoBiz.

What little I have heard has been good. I am also considering fotoQuote, so getting the combo seems like a good deal.

Haha, I live 2 miles from Grain Valley, that bar must be next door to "Whiskey Tangos".
Oh also, hard to go wrong with QB.

My main complaint with QB is that you have to purchase Microsoft Office (specifically Word) just to print out envelopes.... They also make you buy a new version every year instead of offering upgrades. Not a huge deal until Microsoft comes out with a new version of Windows or Word, and your older version of QB doesn't play nice with it. Intuit then refuses to offer any kind of patch to make your copy of QB work with the new Microsoft software. That drives me insane.
Otherwise I think it is a solid program. Not perfect, but solid.
