Here's a before and after image I shot after a wedding. The first is SOOC. The second is after a series of actions. I have the action recipe up at my blog (http://bobbyearle.blogspot.com/2009/02/before-and-after-wednesdays-4.html) for those interested :D

I downloaded sample TRAs (only 8 though heehee) and have been playing with different images for like an hour now! So much fun!
I really like how your image turned out btw! :):)

hey Bobby, hope you don't mind, just wanted to see how long it would take to do something similar to your actions from scratch (no actions) :)

The tilt shift effect is a little to harsh for my taste (going from focus to total OOF) - I like smoothing it in with a second, less OOF layer - but that would take a second to fix. Aside from that... I like yours more!!! :D

Not surprised though. You're a freaking wizard!

oh ok, i used a low res version as well! what a tit i am, didnt realise that there was a higher res version until i popped back on here!!

give me 5 and ill sort some of it out :)

Those are extremely different edits with very different personalities. The first is more old-time photo style and incorporated "realistic" narrow DoF; the second is more modern style, using stronger contrast and ignoring the laws of DoF, instead leaving a sharp path that cuts through the subjects. The left side bothers my eyes in the second and it looks more like a lensbaby shot.

Whoops! Missed that question... thanks Bob ;)

50L at f/1.2 is right. Nearly every image in my wedding gallery is shot with that combo.
