Anyone have the new Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home? Looks Nice. Comes in Blue, Grey, Red, Brown, Black. Curious about any new features or dimension changes.

Just ordered one and it should be here tomorrow, but I think it's the old version (only cost 95 bucks and amazon's website pic looked like the old one clip model).

Same bag, just different on the front. IMO, worse. I like dealing with one buckle, not two. I think the shoulder pads look nicer but doesn't mean they function as well or better.

Why couldn't they just come out with a new line like the line before the MDH's. Those were the best. Also, they only show that change for the 4MDH-6MDH and not the 7MDH.

I saw one in a store in Toronto. The velcro cover is a really clever idea.

I don't know - I have trouble with the single buckle all the way at the bottom of the bag on the original version. It's tough to buckle while I'm wearing the bag. I also like the double velcro on this model. One thing I dislike about the original is that the top is so open and the double velcro / double buckle looks like it will be more secure.

whats this velcro cover, double velcro? is there velcro underneath the flap still, on top of the 2 buckles?

I hate the velcro cover on the flap, everytime you open it up, it's so noisy, I ended up covering it up with flannel cloth, and I like it.
It can fit my 430EX, canon 50D, 70-200, 24-70, battery charger, and all the filters and manuals, there is hidden pockets on both sides, I use it for keys, and wallets.

Whoa, I didn't even notice those! Thanks for the info, now I can put even more stuff in my brand spanking new 7MDH Classic. ;)

^Really? I use one for my camera rain jacket and the other a two ponchos. One for me and One I folded and designed for the bag. I have my bag normally stuffed so there's not much room for anything in those unless it's thin like memory cards (in another pouch) or what I used! :D

thats why you need the special edition birding 5MDH w/o the velcro! lol

i do like the new 7MDH with the 2 buckle design over the older one.

looks sleeker

That's nothing - my 7MDH holds:

5D MKII
15mm fisheye
35L
85L
135L
24-70
70-200 2.8 IS
58 EX II
Giotto Rocket Blower
OC-E3 Cord
batteries, cf cards, charger...

I didn't notice those side pockets until just a week ago, and I've had 3 crumplers for over a year! ha!

Anyway, I tried out the new 7MDH at the camera store in calgary last week. I too do not like the two buckles. I've gotten so used to the one buckle for quick access. The velcro is noisy but all the Million Dollar homes have them and you just have to live with it or move on. Dimension wise it seems identical to my older 7MDH. The only difference I can see is the flap. I also do not like the new colours. The lime green inside the black is a bit jarring, but that's just me. The other ones also have unfortunate colour combinations.

got one way back early january in the black/green. the new double buckle is not too bad actually, and definately i like the looks of the new one better.

besides i rather carry a slightly annoying good looking bad than a not so good looking bag around :)

I am in Japan and as soon as the new one came out, the old one got cheaper by 50%! I am going to buy one now and it's not a hard decision which one to go for ;)

I don't believe, no way. Unless I see a picture.

It will be hard to take photos of, because it's 2 layers but I'll get around to it eventually.

The way I have it set up is in thirds, looking into it from the top. The 70-200 2.8 IS and the Giotto rocket blower are in the middle compartment vertically. On one side of the center section I have a 24-70 and 135L, both vertically. I use one of the dividers that has velcro on only one side as a shelf and attached it to one of the interior dividers that separates the three sections, so when it is flapped down, it covers the 24-70 and 135. On top of that divider is my flash and fisheye.

The other side of the center section is the same - 35 and 85, both vertically on the bottom, and covered by a single velcro flap. On top of that is my 5D2 body.
