How is that first one HDR? It cannot be from 3 separate shots is right?
I love the 3rd pic you posted.

Awesome series! Great use of HDR! You used it to enhance, not alter the scene.
#3 is my favorite of the 4 (weren't there supposed to be 5? ;))

There nothing I hate more than when people overdo HDR's
THANK YOU for not doing such.
On the first were you moving or just do some motion blur in PS?

Wow, all of them are awsome shots. You brought out colors and details but you were able to leave the reality of each photo intact. Well done.

The gate in the lake is outstanding.
Glad to see hdr breaking out of the separate hdr forum here at potn.

I'm not a big fan of the HDR look, but the composition and the look of the shots look nice.

Love 1 - it's like being there, the speed is so intense.

#5 is incredible. Definitely a harsh sense of reality with that picture. If you posted the picture without the location I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought.
#3 is also great but in a different way than #5.

Breathtaking shots in my opinion, I'm loving all of them. I find it amusing that so many photographers 'bad mouth' the entry level 400D and 18-55mm lens yet you've used them, plus your amazing eye for good shots and combined them both to make a beautiful set of photos.
Very nice.

Yep, it's a great lens but, I lost all aperture control while I am there. So I only have aperture control in shot 1. The 5 other shots are taken at the widest aperture.
