I spotted this guy while hiking in the National Forest north of Charleston, SC. It's not the greatest alligator photo. The light was difficult. It is however the first Alligator I have ever seen in the wild. Pretty exciting for a midwesterner.

Well, you got his eyes and teeth in focus. That should be enough. Looks like a good sized one.

I think you did a very decent job. That drab colors add quite a bit to the photo. And those eyes... creepy.

Very nice. If only you could have gotten closer...you should zoomed with your feet. Loser. :p
This is one of those instances where that would have gotten you killed? I like you portfolio...very impressive work.

As someone that has worked with Alligators...AWESOME shot! I just viewed your site and really enjoyed it.

Thanks a lot. I wish I could have gotten closer, but the gator was in the middle of a pond. It looked like it was about four to five feet long, not a man eater yet. The gator looked too lazy to try to snack on my leg anyhow.
