my first plus size model

this is in my room with flourescent lighting, black blanket, and a preeety smile. i know i could have done better with lighting and all, but what can ya do? oh well.

The composition & angle are quite difficult. I congratulate you for even tackling them !
The model is pretty and her expression is quite nice.

I would've liked to see her from a bit wider angle, and a deeper DOF, though (IMO)

Very nice. Right below her right eyebrow I would blend in what looks like another eyebrow line or eye makeup line. It wouldn't take 1 minute to do and would look very natural.

I think its a pretty good shot. The lighting is not bad, but like you said you could have done better if you tried.

If "plus size" means what I think it means, you've captured your model in a flattering position. Her personality--with that single arched eyebrow--comes shining through; a woman who takes no crap from nobody. LOL

As for lighting, I thinks it's OK for what you had to work with. It would have been nicer with a subtle back light creating better separation between the backdrop and her head.
