Taken with my 400d, Sigma 150-500 and x2 converter from the SE UK at 4.30am when I couldn't sleep!

Like the 1st one, not to keen on the 2nd one tho. Is it cropped?
How you like that lens? and which converter did you use?
Cheers

They are both cropped slightly.
I've only had the lens a couple of weeks and it seems OK, focusing OK although a bit heavy!
Doesn't like low light and I have struggled during the early hours to capture the birds/wildlife feeding in the garden.
I'm off to Le Mans in June and hope it'll do the job!
Thanks for your comments.

Nice shots, I'd be interested to see more astro-pics and your Le Mans pics with the 100-500 lens. My local camera shop often has big Sigma lenses in stock at what seems like very reasonable prices.

The Optical Stabilisation- can you handhold it at 500mm?

With sufficient light yes.
As far as weight goes, that's not a problem so far and it feels pretty comfortable. Not sure I'll feel that way after a day out with it though ;)
