20D Qflash Problems

I have a Canon 20D that I use with a Qflash T2 & D13N adapter. Here’s the problem… I recently had the 13N adapter upgraded for the 20D it worked before but no focus assist light. Now post upgrade it randomly locks the camera… I must remove the adapter fire a shot then put it back on and I am good to go. Quantum sent me another adapter to try same result… of course they say they have never heard of the problem. I am faced at this point to having the adapter put back to the previous software version… any thoughts?

Why was there a need to change the adapter? I have the T2D and haven't used it yet with my 20D. It works fine with my 10D. Do I need to get a new adapter?

PS: I did a little search (www.nikonians.org) and found that Quantum is also having trouble with the adapter for the Nikon D2H.
