This is my first time posting and I want to know what you guys think. FYI I just bought my 40d on Monday(2/9) as a birthday present to myself. So I haven't had that much time to practice.

Hello,

I can't really put my finger on it, but for some reason these shots don't look sharp. You've managed a 1/160 shutter time and still the VW looks blurred ?
Did you shoot raw and applied sharpness to the shot in post processing or did you go for jpg shooting ?

Please feel free to take a look at our indoor car show photography (http://www.carphototutorials.com/photographing_an_indoor_car_show_like_a_pro.php) tutorial for some tips on getting the best shots.

PS : I think you should have posted this in the Transportation section.

I agree these are nice shots but maybe not as sharp as they should be. I started my motorsports show season with the World Of Wheels Chattanooga and Atlanta a few weeks ago.

As you already know from Frank's post, welcome! Being this your first post, you choosed a really hard thing to shoot: an Auto Show. Lighting is cruel on photogs, people is just a PITA, and the list goes on. What I mean is, for someone who just picked his DSLR, this shots are great, light and composition wise. Nice choosed subjects!
