TMCCaptured,
Don't eat any until you got the photo you and the one you are shooting for like

I just noticed in your signature you don't have a macro lens, what will you be using to take macro photos of food? ???

I have only just been given a 50D. The only lens I have apart from my 450 kit is the 2.8 200 I will be using for sport.

I will ask around (NZ is very small afterall) to see what can be hired for thisThursdays shoot. Hoping there is a place around that can help.

Yeah, I was also wondering that. I have also been asked to do that. I'm guessing that light equipment and a DIY mini studio but if anyone knows anything more please help us. I also have no macro lens.

There are some great ... and cheap mini studios with lights and mini camera tripods on Ebay. I was very dubious about buying one, but it was so cheap ( £18) I thought ... sod it ... give it a go.
Too my suprise ... it is really good.
You get four different colour backgrounds and a box set up with velcro which you can adapt in various ways.

Have shot many an item to sell on Ebay and the results are great ... if you want to do professional shots, then I would go for something bigger, but for that price it is good to practice with anyway.
