I primarily use Firefox for web browsing but I also have Safari on my Mac. I was in Safari and went to my photobucket account to look for a pic. Just for kicks I went back to Firefox and noticed a substantial difference. Safari looked pretty close to how I saved it in Photoshop, while Firefox actually looked washed out and slightly brighter. Anyone else ever noticed this?

I have but I can't figure out why that is, since my monitor calibration doesn't change when I change browsers. I am also a Mac guy, and love how much brighter and more vibrant my images look on my 17" laptop, but I can't figure out why they look so different between browsers.

Funny thing is I just looked at another photograph from a different website than Photobucket and didn't really notice a difference on either browser. Weird...

I use Shutterfly for all my clients' images and when I view them on Firefox I cringe to think what my clients (if they have a pc) must be thinking when they see them. They look great on Safari, and the prints pretty much match what I see on Safari, too. Odd.

I know on my laptop -- It's a custom airbrushed job -- With all the vibrant colors and what not, a picture will look totally different then on my desktop, and I used spyder to calibrate both. I know, totally different screens.. but I'm just saying - Maybe it's the color of the browser that is making your eyes think whats in it is changing?

Try saving your images using the sRGB colorspace. Both browsers should render the images the same that way.

Try telling that to every single user who is likely to see the images... *facepalm*
