It's sort of interesting: the "Hondo" on the sign in the picture is Hondo Crouch. He's a legendary figure in these parts and, in fact, the inspiration for the song "Luckenbach Texas" by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. But Hondo himself died in 1976 --- 13 years before "Hondos Hats" was established. That black and white photo in the middle of the sign is a photo of Hondo.

I guess somebody in Luckenbach decided to make some money by using his name, though.
