Here's a panorama of one of SF's many landmarks. The place was crawling with people on Saturday but for whatever reason, there aren't many in the picture...but that's a good thing.

2-photos stitched together. It could use some more Photoshop work, but oh well. Here's hoping the Palace shows well where you're at :-)

I think it's a good rendition of the FA Palace. You might try a little more contrast to make it pop.

It wasn't until I saw this on my workplace monitor that I understood what you said.

Thanks for letting me know how it displayed for you. On my Powerbook screen the contrast was fine--almost 3-D-- but on my work PC, not so good as your comment indicated.

...and here I thought I had made strides by doing the unsharp mask, Save to Web, thing in PS.

Perhaps it's the photo god's way of telling me, "Your skills are more suited for tossing out W's at the M&M factory my son" LOL

The architecture is very cool. Its a good shot, is it on a little island or what?

It's closer to a peninsula. There's a back entrance to the domed structure.
Quite a beautiful setting.
thanks for taking a peek. ;-)

Here is another version of the Palace. I'm not that good with BW, but thought I would give it a shot. My monitor doesn't seem to want to agree with the other monitors around the world. I hope it looks ok.

Yes, we enjoyed our trip very much. My wife and I had never been there before. We lucked out with the weather and got lots of shots. We got there just after a long rain spell, and everything was nice and green.

One of our bus tours took us to the Palace, and let us shoot as long as we wanted. An earlier tour just drove by and talked about it.

I have been fighting with my color management problems, and haven't had much luck in posting. I hadn't tried a BW, so I really didn't know how it would look. My color shots seem to come out over saturated and dull.

Thanks for the comments, enjoyed your pano and totally enjoyed shooting in the SF area.
