How can I create an action in PS to place a logo in the same place on any photo no matter what the pictures orientation is? I set up an action the runs great on a lanscape photo buty on a portrait the logo gets cut off..

id also like to create an extra inch of canvas to the bottom of the photo an dadd my logo in there- any help??

I do not know how to make an action like that, but you can create your logo into a brush. That will cause you to have to add the watermark to each photo, but then you can change the color according to the back ground.

I'm sure there is another way to obtain an inch extra of canvas, but the way i accomplish that is use the crop tool and make a crop box. It will not initially let you crop out side the picture, but if you put a crop box in the picture then use the direct select arrow and re size the box to be an inch wider all the way around the picture it will give you a boarder.

I'm not that experienced in PS, but those are the ways I accomplish the tasks you are looking to accomplish. Just my two cents.
